The fine print
Privacy Policy

Shade Customs ("we," "us") runs this website so you can learn about our work and request a quote. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it, in plain language, because that's how we do everything.
What we collect
When you send a quote request or callback request, we collect:
- Contact details, your name, mobile number, and (optionally) email address.
- Job details, vehicle year, make, model, body style, which windows, tint darkness, preferred time, and anything you type in the notes field.
Browsing the site doesn't require an account, and we don't collect payment information online.
How we use it
- To respond to your request, confirm a price, and schedule work.
- To keep a record of your vehicle and job so repeat visits are easy.
- If you opt in, to send appointment texts and occasional offers (see SMS terms below).
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run this site and our messaging (for example, our website host and, once live, our SMS provider), and only so they can do those jobs.
Text message (SMS) terms
The booking form includes an optional checkbox: "OK to text me about my appointment & occasional offers." If you check it:
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. We'll serve you either way.
- Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also just call the shop.
Cookies & analytics
We'd rather list what actually runs than describe it in the abstract. It's three things.
- Google Analytics 4. This one sets cookies (named
_gaand_ga_<something>) that live in your browser and let Google tell a returning visit from a new one. It records which pages you looked at, where you arrived from, your device and browser, and an approximate location — city level, worked out from your IP address. Google does not store your full IP address for this, and we never see it. - Google Ads conversion measurement, if you got here by clicking one of our ads. That click carries an ID in the web address, and we hand it back to Google when something useful happens so we can tell which ads are worth paying for. It tells us an ad worked. It doesn't tell us who you are.
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which count page views and measure load times. These remain cookieless and store nothing that identifies you.
What we count
The whole list, because a vague answer here is worth nothing: tapping a phone number, tapping an email address, tapping the directions link, finishing a price estimate, and sending either of the two forms. We count that these happened and which page they happened on.
What you type into the quote form — your name, number, vehicle, notes — goes to us and to the services that store it and email it to the shop. It is never sent to Google Analytics or to Google Ads.
Why there's no cookie pop-up
Because we think those banners are mostly theatre, and because we serve Georgetown and the towns around it rather than the EU or California, where the law would require one. If you'd rather not be counted, two things work and neither needs our permission: block cookies for this site in your browser settings, or install Google's official opt-out add-on, which switches Google Analytics off everywhere, not just here. Either way the site works exactly the same. Nothing here is gated on being tracked.
If we add another tool that touches your data, it gets named on this page in the same breath it goes live.
Keeping & deleting your info
We keep inquiry records as long as they're useful for serving you. Want to see what we have, or want it deleted? Call (512) 744-8271 or come by the shop at 114 E University Ave, Georgetown, TX 78626, and we'll take care of it.
Children
This site is for booking automotive services and isn't directed at children under 13; we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update lands on this page with a new date up top. Questions? Send us a note or call.
